We are changing the world by creating new medicines, foods, and feeds with the technology of insect silkworms producing protein instead of silk threads.
Product, service, and business features
Founded in April 2018 as a venture company originating from Kyushu University, our mission is to “change the world with silkworms.” Our core technology is the ability to freely produce proteins within silkworms. We hold patents for oral vaccines using protein antigens produced by silkworms and are developing oral vaccines for humans and animals. Regarding animal vaccines, we released and began sales of a feed additive in Vietnam in November of this year.

KAICO's “silkworm baculovirus expression method” transforms silkworms, insects that produce silk, into factories for producing future vaccines and feed additives.
