Challenge Message
We will realize a future where people can enjoy delicious fish and food culture for 100 years to come.
Product, service, and business features
We cultivate high water temperature tolerant sakura trout using a breeding method that does not use genome editing. We farm cherry salmon, a species endemic to Japan, entirely within Japan, and our strength is that we do not use antibiotics and do not administer any medication. The salmon is raised using the "kakegashi" method, which is said to have a low odor, making it easy to eat for everyone. While many of the domestically produced salmon on the market today have their fertilized eggs imported from other countries, our strength is that we farm our salmon entirely within Japan.
Exhibition Details
The bounty of the sea, unaffected by global warming. Smolt is breeding fish that are resistant to high water temperatures through natural crossbreeding in response to the decline in marine resources caused by global warming. Using sustainable methods that do not rely on genome editing, we are connecting the future with safe and secure fish produced in Japan. Come and experience the potential of innovative aquaculture technology that harnesses the power of nature at the venue.
