Aquaponics is a new type of agriculture in which fish and plants are grown in the same system. The excrement from the fish being farmed is converted into organic fertilizer on the spot by bacteria, which the plants use as nutrients to grow. The plants then act as natural purifiers, and the cleaned water is returned to the fish tanks. This system, which can be called the epitome of the natural world, does not require chemical pesticides or fertilizers, and is, so to speak, organic farming with water.
