Challenge Message

Aiming to realize a new sustainable food production model with aquaponics technology

Product, service, and business features

Aquaponics is a new type of agriculture in which fish and plants are grown in the same system. The excrement from the fish being farmed is converted into organic fertilizer on the spot by bacteria, which the plants use as nutrients to grow. The plants then act as natural purifiers, and the cleaned water is returned to the fish tanks. This system, which can be called the epitome of the natural world, does not require chemical pesticides or fertilizers, and is, so to speak, organic farming with water.

Exhibition Details

Fish and vegetables grow together. Plantform's aquaponics technology solves issues such as fertilizer shortages and low organic farming rates in Japan. It enables sustainable food production in line with the Green Food System Law and global food trends. Experience the achievements and prospects of this circular agricultural system through videos and panel displays.
